Bet9ja set out to launch its first-ever app, seizing a new opportunity to expand its offering. With ambitions to grow and connect with a broader audience, Bet9ja aimed to enhance accessibility and engagement through a seamless mobile experience.
The Challange
Design and build the Bet9ja mobile app experience from the ground up, introducing a new, cohesive visual language that would not only redefine the mobile interface but also set the foundation for the future desktop experience. This transformation aimed to modernize the platform end-to-end, delivering a faster, more intuitive service while unlocking new opportunities for business growth.

Redefining the Mobile Experience
The Result
Launched in April 2023, the new Bet9ja mobile app quickly became a key driver of engagement and growth. Since launch, over 1 million users have placed at least one bet on Sportsbook or Casino through the app, an early indicator of its strong adoption and product-market fit.
Designed with the Nigerian market in mind, where data usage is a key concern, the app is now one of the lightest betting apps in the country, delivering fast performance with minimal data consumption. This accessibility has been critical in expanding Bet9ja’s reach and appeal across diverse user segments.

Multi Tenant Platform
The launch of the Bet9ja app marked more than just a product release; it was the starting point for building a flexible, multi-tenant platform designed to support multiple brands and products under a unified system. By integrating Token Studio, we were able to streamline design token management across tenants, enabling us to define and sync visual styles efficiently. This approach not only ensured consistency across different brand experiences but also significantly simplified the developer workflow, making it faster and easier to bring new products to market with minimal duplication or rework.
